Statement

My work is primarily digital collage. I begin with a selection of photographs and other elements that are digitized and then transformed, stylized, layered, and otherwise manipulated to create an emotional context.

I often explore themes of escape, group dynamics and relationship (religious, marital, parental, environmental).

My work is generally shown as large ink-jet prints but in the last six months I have begun working with non-traditional printmaking methods (solvent and emulsion transfers on wood and metal) and computer programming (animations and fractals) as new ways to present my digital concepts.

I've been working digitally since 1997, previously working in photography and mixed media.
